Description: Leidos has an opening for an Applications/Cloud Engineer to support the ESA IV program. ESA IV is an IT Services program supporting several customers within the Department of Justice. The program provides a range of enterprise wide Information Technology (IT) services, including Desktop, Infrastructure, Platform and Application services The engineer will be a key contributor of our EAS IV ATR team. The position will be responsible to collaborate closely with internal Leidos software development teams and customers to develop the best approaches for deploying and maintaining applications in a cost-effective, repeatable, secure, scalable, and maintainable way. Responsibilities: Architect and implement deployment solutions for various projects and deployment environments Provide guidance and expertise on DevOps and cloud technologies to development teams and customers Design and implement full-stack, in-house solutions to streamline the process of deploying and monitoring applications Be devoted to knowing the latest trends and solutions to DevOps problems Leverage open-source code to compliment in-house solutions Respond to customer requests and incidents
Qualifications: Typical Qualifications
: Bachelor s degree in a related discipline and a 4 years experience, or a Master's degree and 2 years relevant experience. An additional 4 years experience, and/or relevant certifications will be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience with at least one high level programming language (i. e. Java/C#) Build & CI automation tools (e. g. Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, Puppet) Containerization (e. g. Docker) Successfully complete a security investigation by the government.
Preferred Qualifications
Infrastructure as a Service (e. g. Amazon Web Services - certification preferred) Infrastructure as Code (e. g. AWS CloudFormation) Team collaboration tools (e. g. Jira, Confluence, RocketChat) Source code management tools & artifact management (e. g. git/BitBucket) Communicating problems and solutions clearly and concisely Experience working with stakeholders to refine requirements in an agile environment
This position requires that a security investigation be completed by the government to permit access to customer-sensitive information.
