Amgen is seeking a Specialist IS Architect Developer/Analyst EDI to join the Enterprise Platforms Corporate Functions - Global ERP team. The Specialist IS Architect EDI will be responsible for the entire technology roadmap for Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), support EDI needs across multiple workstreams, establish standards, partnering and communicating with solution architects, business analysts, project teams and business clients using new technologies to deliver business value under the challenge of a complex and fast-changing technology landscape.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Identify EDI solutions, based on business needs, technical requirements and aligned with the IS strategy.
  • Research and evaluate technical solutions and capabilities considering security, scalability, reliability, maintainability and performance.
  • Actively work on improving the service area seeking opportunities to improve efficiency of process using automation and empirical data.
  • Design, develop, test and review implementations of EDI solutions and process standards.
  • Assist with and define methodologies for onboard process of new EDI partners and integrations.
  • Collaborate with business partners, business analysts and architects to detail business requirements into relevant technical mappings.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient execution and alignment to business and technical requirements.
  • Write documentation to support process improvements.
  • Deliver results in an environment consisting of diverse global and matrixed partners; including non-dedicated resources.
  • Effectively be an outstanding resource with the business, service partners, and vendors.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree
OR
Master's degree and 3 years of Information Systems experience
OR
Bachelor's degree and 5 years of Information Systems experience
OR
Associate's degree and 10 years of Information Systems experience
OR
High school diploma/GED and 12 years of Information Systems experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5 plus years of experience working as EDI Developer/Analyst.
  • Experience with SAP IDOC/ALE and IBM Sterling B2B Integrator.
  • Functional knowledge of SAP modules such as OTC, RTR, STP and business process such as Order Management, Invoicing and Payments.
  • Expert in EDI Standards: ANSI X12, EDIFACT.
  • Mapped/Tested/Supported EDIFACT messages: ORDERS, ORDCHG, DESADV, INVOIC, SHPADV, INVRPT.
  • Mapped/Tested/Supported ANSI X12 transactions: 850, 860, 855, 810, 856.
  • Experience with integration Middleware such as SAP PO and Mulesoft.
  • Knowledge of cloud integration, web services and XML.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with various IT development techniques such as Agile and DevOps.
  • Be open to work in a dynamic environment embracing change as a constant and adopting new technologies.
