As a Mid-Level Java Developer at Obviously you will be responsible for developing and maintaining web scraping solutions. You will work with libraries such as jsoup and Selenium to extract data from websites, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the scraping processes. You will also need to have a good understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to effectively navigate and parse complex web pages.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain web scraping solutions using Java and libraries such as jsoup and Selenium.
- Utilize Playwright or other modern tools to automate web scraping tasks.
- Parse and extract data from various web pages, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Work with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to understand the structure and behavior of web pages.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to web scraping and data extraction.
- Collaborate with the team to understand data requirements and implement solutions accordingly.
- Optimize and improve existing web scraping scripts for better performance and efficiency.

Qualifications:

- 2-4 years of experience in Java development, with a focus on web scraping.
- Proficiency in using jsoup for HTML parsing and data extraction.
- Experience with Selenium or Playwright for browser automation and web scraping.
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with version control systems (eg, Git).

Preferred Skills:
