AI/ML Engineer - Scientific & Research Platforms

A global pharmaceutical organisation is seeking an AI/ML Engineer to help transition exploratory ML research into scalable, production-ready platforms.

This role sits at the intersection of data science, engineering, and infrastructure, supporting critical scientific and analytical initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate notebook-based experimentation into robust ML pipelines

• Optimise and deploy models in collaboration with AI scientists

• Explore, clean, and validate complex scientific datasets

• Build repeatable ML workflows and training pipelines

• Support and upskill teams, improving overall MLOps maturity

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong Python development and ML engineering background

• Experience with Databricks, Ray, Kubernetes, MLflow, ClearML, or W&B

• Cloud platforms: AWS and Azure, including ML services (EKS/SageMaker, AKS/Azure ML)

• Experience processing large, complex scientific datasets

• Hands-on experience with LLMs and modern ML architectures
