Job Summary: My client are looking for an experienced FileMaker Developer to design, develop, and maintain FileMaker database applications. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of FileMaker Pro, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, create custom solutions, and ensure the seamless integration of FileMaker applications with other systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain FileMaker database applications tailored to business needs.

Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.

Create and implement custom scripts, layouts, and calculations to enhance database functionality.

Integrate FileMaker applications with other software systems and third-party APIs.

Conduct testing and debugging to ensure the reliability and performance of applications.

Stay updated with the latest FileMaker features and best practices.

Document development processes, configurations, and user guides.

Assist in project planning, timelines, and status reporting.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a FileMaker Developer.

Proficiency in FileMaker Pro Advanced, including Scripting, calculations, and relational database design.

Strong understanding of database security, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.

Experience integrating FileMaker with external data sources and APIs.

Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Strong communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Skills:

FileMaker certification.

Experience with FileMaker Server and FileMaker Go.

Knowledge of SQL and other database management systems.

Experience with mobile and web application development.

Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
